On a day when postgame spirits were generally low, PhiletOfSoul.com was able to persuade Soul OL/DL Donny Klein into doing one of our not-so-serious (yet increasingly infamous) interviews.
What's your favorite part about playing in Philly?
I'm close to home... I'm home! I'm from New Jersey, I went to Temple
University. It's good to be home... my fiancé's here, my family's
here. It's good, ya know what I mean? I love the fans. This city,
out of anywhere I've ever been, has the best fans. Or they can be the
worst fans if you're not performing well. They expect winners, and
they should. I love Philadelphia.
What's your favorite cheesesteak house?
Aw, man... *smiles* I've tried all of 'em, I went to school for four
years here. I like Pat's, and I like Jim's. If I didn't want to drive
all the way to South Philly from Temple, I'd go to Jim's, or some
nights we'd go to Pat's and have a couple. *laughs*
Delilah's or Cheerleaders?
I'm a Club Risque guy, kinda. Safe and laid back, you know what I mean?
Big boobs or big butts?
I like 'em proportioned nicely, a little bit of each.
What's your favorite Jessica? Simpson, Bei--
Oh, Simpson. I don't even wanna hear the rest! Jessica Simpson's my
girl.
Do you have any geeky hobbies?
I'm a big Halo 2 fan. I'll sit at home for four, five hours playing it.
What's the one movie you're embarrassed to admit that you like?
I'm a big movie buff... I love all movies. *thinks* I... don't
know.
Any significance to your jersey number?
Lawrence Taylor. I've got a lot of respect for him.
We've been doing this for a few weeks now, and we hear you're a pretty
good singer.
*laughing* Who told you this?!? Naw, not me...
Word around town is that Dallas sucks. What's your take?
Dallas sucks BAD! *laughs*
We do feel kind of bad about fudging the truth a bit to Mr. Klein about
the singing thing. But as the saying goes... you can catch more
linemen with honey than vinegar. Well... honey and cheesesteaks.
