OL/DL Dwayne Missouri rounds out this week's PhiletOfSoul.com interviews. We were lucky enough to snag him at midfield, traveling between groups of adoring fans.
What's your favorite part about playing in Philly?
Man, I just like the environment. The fans here, they know football,
and they're starting to learn the arena game real well. Their passion
about sports in general, especially about football, it's just great.
What's your favorite cheesesteak house?
For a long time, I'd say Jim's was my favorite, but then... *thinks*
I'll stick to Jim's.
Utz or Herr's?
Utz.
Delilah's or Cheerleaders?
I haven't made it to Cheerleaders yet, so I'd have to say Delilah's.
Very quality women in there, so for lack of comparison I'd have to say
Delilah's right now.
Big boobs or big butts?
Hmm... I don't necessarily have a general preference, I can see the
beauty in whatever she has. *laughs*
Which Jessica? Simpson, Beil, Alba, or Rabbit?
Absolutely Alba, without a doubt.
What's your favorite video game console?
PS2, easily.
What's your favorite game?
As a football player, I'll take the Madden series. In general, for
action, I think it would be Grand Theft Auto.
Do you have any geeky hobbies?
I am kind of a computer nerd. I don't know too much about 'em, but I
like to get on and just act like a nerd sometimes I guess. *laughs*
What's your favorite superhero?
Wow, that's a good one... I haven't thought about that in a long time.
I guess Spiderman, he's kind of on a winning streak right now.
Any significance to your jersey number?
It's just what I wore in school. When I went to Northwestern I wore 95.
When I came in as a freshman, they had a guy, Matt Rice, that wore 95,
he was just a beast. That first spring training, when he was getting
ready to graduate, I asked for his permission to wear 95. Since then
it's always felt like a responsibility to look good in 95 and play
well, so I try to get it whenever I can.
Any embarrassing pregame rituals you don't want anyone to know about?
Not really... my biggest one is to make sure I've got a fresh shave.
Every morning before the game I gotta get in and shave my head off.
*laughs*
Word around town is that Dallas sucks. What's your take?
*laughing* The Dallas Desperados definitely suck! But if the Cowboys
wanna give me another paycheck, I'll take it!
For what it's worth, Mr. Missouri... we'd take the money too. In, like, half a heartbeat. *starts working out to get back in game shape*
