Philet of Soul Interviews OL/DL Mike Mabry - 29 JANUARY 06

While strolling around looking for one last interview on the day, PhiletOfSoul.com came across rookie lineman Mike Mabry. He was kind enough to take a time out from chatting with his family to give us a quick Q&A.

What's your favorite part about playing in Philly?
The fans, by far. I come from the NFL, NFL Europe, and the fans were tremendous. It was just just crazy, loud, and they were right there the whole time. I wasn't expecting it, but it's definitely the number one thing I enjoyed. I'd heard a lot, but I wasn't expecting it to be quite like this.

Have you had a chance to head around town a bit, see the sights?
I went down to South Street, had a Philly cheesesteak at Jim's. I checked out Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell. That's about it.

Pat's or Geno's?
Haven't been.

Utz or Herr's?
I'm gonna go with Utz.

Delilah's or Cheerleaders?
Cheerleaders. I don't know what Delilah's is, but I know what a cheerleader is. *laughs*

Big boobs or big butts?
Big butts.

Which Jessica? Simpson, Biel, Alba, or Rabbit?
Biel.

Favorite cartoon as a kid?
I wasn't a cartoon fan, I never got into cartoons. My favorite show was Coach. I used to stay up late, catch it on Nick at Night.

Word around town is that Dallas sucks. What's your take?
*laughs* I have no idea. I can't... *laughs* I AM from Texas.

The Horn cut this one short, but Mr. Mabry seemed like a pretty good guy (despite being from Texas). A Part Two may be in order.
